Pawvote and you may be referred to individually as a “Party” and together as the “Parties.”

By accessing, registering for, submitting content to, voting on, purchasing votes for, or otherwise using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional Official Rules applicable to a specific contest.

The Site relates to photos of pets, including dogs and cats. The Site is not intended for use by minors. Only adults aged 18 years or older may register, submit photos, vote, purchase votes, or otherwise use the Site.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR PARTICIPATE. A PURCHASE IS OPTIONAL.

  1. 1. Important Notices

1.1 Adult Use Only

The Site is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. Minors may not register for, access, or use the Site. A pet may appear as a participant in a contest only if the pet’s owner or lawful caretaker submits the pet’s photo and information in accordance with these Terms.

1.2 Pet Contests Only

Pawvote operates vote-based online photo contests for pets, including dogs and cats. Unless expressly stated otherwise on the Site, Pawvote contests are limited to pets and are not intended for photos of children, adults, wildlife, livestock, endangered animals, or animals that the submitting user does not lawfully own, care for, or have permission to submit.

1.3 Not Gambling, Betting, Lottery, Sweepstakes, or Commercial Gaming

Pawvote is a vote-based online photo contest platform. The contests are not gambling, betting, wagering, lottery, raffle, sweepstakes, casino gaming, sports wagering, or commercial gaming activities.

Winners are determined by the number of valid votes received before the applicable contest deadline, subject to eligibility verification, fraud prevention, and these Terms. Winners are not selected by chance, random draw, random number generator, odds, betting outcome, sports result, or any other random or chance-based mechanism.

Votes are digital support units only. Votes have no cash value, are not legal tender, are not a stored-value product, are not redeemable for money, are not refundable except as required by applicable law, and cannot be exchanged, sold, transferred, withdrawn, or converted into cash or any other monetary value.

The purchase of votes is not a wager or bet. Users do not stake money on the occurrence of an uncertain event. Losing participants or users do not pay winning participants. Prizes are guaranteed and funded by Pawvote, subject to these Terms and the Official Rules of the relevant contest.

1.4 No United Arab Emirates Participation

Although Pawvote may be operated from the United Arab Emirates, the Site and contests are not offered, marketed, promoted, or made available to users located in, resident in, or otherwise participating from the United Arab Emirates.

Residents of, and persons physically located in, the United Arab Emirates are not eligible to register, vote, purchase votes, submit photos, participate in any contest, or receive any prize.

Pawvote may use reasonable technical, payment, location, IP, billing, KYC, and fraud-prevention measures to prevent access from excluded jurisdictions, including the United Arab Emirates. Use of VPNs, proxies, false billing information, false residency information, or other methods to circumvent jurisdictional restrictions is prohibited and may result in disqualification, account suspension, cancellation of votes, and forfeiture of prizes, subject to applicable law.

1.5 Eligible Jurisdictions

The contests are open only to users and pet owners who are legal residents of the eligible jurisdictions expressly listed on the Site or in the Official Rules for the relevant contest. The contests are void where prohibited, restricted, or subject to registration, bonding, licensing, taxation, or regulatory approval requirements that Pawvote has not satisfied.

Pawvote may restrict or exclude any country, state, province, territory, or jurisdiction at any time where participation may be unlawful, restricted, operationally impractical, or inconsistent with Pawvote’s compliance policies.

  1. 5. Contest Overview

  3. eligible jurisdictions;
  4. excluded jurisdictions;
  5. start date and time;

5.4 No Random Winner Selection

  1. 6. No Purchase Necessary; Free Participation

6.1 Free Entry

6.2 Free Votes

Users may cast Free Votes as described on the Site or in the Official Rules. Unless otherwise stated, each eligible User may cast one Free Vote every 10 minutes, subject to a maximum of 30 Free Votes per day per account, device, household, internet connection, IP address, or other reasonable fraud-prevention identifier used by Pawvote.

Pawvote may reduce, restrict, suspend, or block Free Votes where Pawvote reasonably detects bot activity, duplicate accounts, vote farming, VPN use, proxy use, unusual traffic, automated voting, high-risk voting patterns, or other suspicious activity.

6.3 Bonus Votes

Pawvote may award Bonus Votes for achievements, promotions, engagement activities, or other activities described on the Site. Bonus Votes may be subject to additional conditions, expiration dates, limits, and anti-abuse rules.

6.4 Optional Purchased Votes

Users may choose to purchase additional votes. A purchase is optional and is not required to enter a contest, submit a Photo, cast Free Votes, or be eligible to win.

6.5 Effect of Purchased Votes

Because winners are determined by the number of Valid Votes received, Purchased Votes may affect the ranking of a Photo if they are validly cast and recorded before the Contest Deadline. Pawvote does not represent that any purchase will guarantee a prize, a particular ranking, or any particular outcome.

  1. 7. Photo Eligibility

7.1 Submission by Pet Owner Only

Photos may be submitted only by the Pet Owner or by an adult person who has permission and legal authority to submit the pet’s Photo.

7.2 Eligible Participants

Unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules, contests are limited to pets, including dogs and cats. A Participant must be a real pet. Photos of humans, children, adults, dolls, stuffed animals, AI-generated animals, fictional animals, wildlife, endangered animals, livestock, or animals submitted without lawful authority are not eligible unless expressly allowed by the Official Rules.

7.3 Animal Welfare and Safety Requirements

Photos must be appropriate, pet-friendly, and safe. Photos must not show or suggest animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, injury caused for the purpose of the Photo, forced distress, unsafe restraints, dangerous handling, illegal activity, animal fighting, harmful costumes, choking hazards, unsafe grooming, or any condition that Pawvote reasonably considers harmful, exploitative, or inconsistent with animal welfare standards.

7.4 No Artificial Alteration or Misrepresentation

Unless expressly allowed by the Official Rules, Photos must show a real dog or cat and must not materially alter the pet’s appearance. Photos must not use AI-generated animals, face swaps, unrealistic retouching, deepfakes, misleading edits, body alterations, or other modifications that materially change the Participant’s physical characteristics.

7.5 No Brands, Logos, Text, or Promotional Content

Photos must not contain visible personal, business, promotional, political, religious, commercial, or third-party brands, logos, trademarks, watermarks, text, addresses, phone numbers, social media handles, QR codes, advertising messages, or contact information. Pawvote may reject the Photo or, where appropriate, remove or blur such content.

7.6 No Prohibited Content

Photos and related content must not contain or promote content that is hateful, racist, discriminatory, political, religious, violent, threatening, bullying, harassing, defamatory, obscene, lewd, sexual, exploitative, illegal, unsafe, harmful to animals, or otherwise inappropriate for the Site.

7.7 Ownership and Permission

You may submit only Photos that you own or have all rights, permissions, and consents necessary to submit. If a professional photographer, pet groomer, shelter, rescue organization, breeder, co-owner, previous owner, or other third party owns or controls rights in a Photo or pet-related information, you are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions before submission.

7.8 Multiple Photos and Participants

Unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules, a Pet Owner may submit Photos of multiple Participants and may submit multiple Photos of the same Participant, subject to Site limits, category rules, and anti-abuse measures.

7.9 Content Safety and Animal Welfare Enforcement

Pawvote applies content-safety and animal-welfare standards because the Site involves Photos of pets. Pawvote may reject, remove, blur, crop, restrict, report, or escalate any Photo, profile, comment, account, or related content where Pawvote reasonably believes that the content is unsafe, inappropriate, exploitative, abusive, illegal, harmful to an animal, inconsistent with animal-welfare standards, or otherwise unsuitable for the Site.

Pawvote may also report content, accounts, users, payment activity, or conduct to law enforcement, regulators, animal welfare authorities, animal protection organizations, payment providers, hosting providers, fraud-prevention providers, or other relevant parties where Pawvote reasonably believes that the content or conduct is illegal, abusive, fraudulent, harmful to animals, or otherwise creates legal, safety, regulatory, payment, or reputational risk.

  1. 8. Review, Verification, and Validation of Photos

8.1 Information Required

When submitting a Photo, you may be asked to provide the Participant’s name, pet type, breed, age, category, region, your relationship to the Participant, and other information reasonably necessary to administer the contest, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

8.2 Verification Documents

Pawvote may request documents or information to verify your identity, pet ownership or lawful authority, residency, eligibility, and prize entitlement. Such documents may include, where appropriate, identification documents, proof of address, veterinary records, adoption records, shelter or rescue records, pet registration documents, microchip information, photos or videos showing the pet with you, or other reasonable verification materials.

You must not submit sensitive documents, identification documents, veterinary records, adoption records, microchip information, or other verification materials unless specifically requested by Pawvote through an approved verification process.

8.3 Verification Use

Verification documents will be used only for eligibility, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment, tax, prize verification, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping purposes, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

8.4 Photo Review

Each Photo may be reviewed for compliance with these Terms and the Official Rules. Review may delay a Photo’s display or entry into a contest. Pawvote is not liable for delay, rejection, or inability to enter a particular contest where review is required.

8.5 Limited Editing

As part of review, you grant Pawvote the right to make limited edits to a Photo to improve technical quality, correct minor technical issues, crop or resize for display, remove red-eye, blur or remove a logo or prohibited text, or ensure compliance with these Terms. Pawvote will not intentionally alter the Participant’s physical characteristics except as necessary to remove prohibited or unsafe content.

8.6 Ineligible Photos

Pawvote may declare a Photo ineligible and remove it before, during, or after a contest if Pawvote reasonably determines that the Photo or related submission violates these Terms, the Official Rules, third-party rights, law, animal welfare standards, or Pawvote’s safety, integrity, or compliance policies.

8.7 Objection by Another Owner, Co-Owner, or Rights Holder

If another owner, co-owner, lawful caretaker, shelter, rescue organization, breeder, photographer, rights holder, or other person with a legitimate interest objects to the Participant’s participation or the display of a Photo, Pawvote may request proof of identity, ownership, authority, rights, custody, permission, or the basis of the objection.

Pawvote may remove the Photo, suspend the Participant’s profile, pause prize payment, cancel or pause ranking visibility, or take other reasonable measures while reviewing the objection. Pawvote will use reasonable efforts to review substantiated removal requests within 96 hours.

Pawvote may refuse, delay, or limit removal where the request appears fraudulent, abusive, unsupported, legally disputed, inconsistent with applicable law, inconsistent with a court order, or where Pawvote reasonably requires additional verification before acting.

  1. 9. Voting Rules

9.1 General Voting

Each eligible User may vote for any eligible Photo, subject to the voting rules, free vote limits, purchased vote rules, anti-fraud measures, and Official Rules.

9.2 Valid Votes Only

Only Valid Votes will be counted. Votes must be successfully cast and recorded by Pawvote’s servers before the Contest Deadline. Payment authorization alone does not guarantee that votes will be counted unless the corresponding votes are credited and cast before the Contest Deadline.

9.3 No Vote Manipulation

Votes received by or through vote exchange websites, bots, scripts, automated systems, fake accounts, duplicate accounts, account farms, vote farms, paid third-party voting networks, manipulated traffic, unauthorized promotions, hacking, credential sharing, or any other method that does not reflect genuine votes of real eligible Users may be cancelled and not counted.

9.4 User Responsibility

You are responsible for casting votes for the correct Photo. Once a vote is cast, it may not be withdrawn, changed, transferred, refunded, or reallocated, except where Pawvote determines that correction is required due to a technical error caused by Pawvote or where required by applicable law.

9.5 Pawvote’s Role

Pawvote does not participate in voting and does not add, remove, modify, or manipulate votes except as reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, remove invalid or fraudulent votes, correct technical errors, conduct payment or fraud review, comply with law, or maintain contest integrity.

9.6 Server Records Control

Pawvote’s server records, vote logs, fraud logs, payment records, and verification records are the official records for contest administration, subject to applicable law.

9.7 High-Risk Voter Verification

If a Participant, Photo, User, vote pattern, payment method, IP address, device, location, traffic source, referral source, or other signal presents an elevated risk of fraud, manipulation, duplicate accounts, vote farming, bot activity, payment abuse, location circumvention, or other suspicious activity, Pawvote may require Users who vote for that Participant to verify their email address, phone number, identity, residency, payment ownership, or other relevant information.

Pawvote may block, disregard, reverse, cancel, or remove votes from Users who fail verification, refuse verification, provide false or incomplete information, use prohibited circumvention methods, or otherwise present a high risk of vote fraud or manipulation.

  1. 10. Purchased Votes, Payments, Refunds, and Chargebacks

10.1 Prices and Checkout

Users may purchase additional votes at the prices and in the quantities displayed at checkout. All prices, fees, taxes, and payment terms will be disclosed before purchase.

10.2 Nature of Purchased Votes

Purchased Votes are digital support units for use on the Site only. They have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, are not transferable, and are not a deposit, stored-value product, financial instrument, wager, bet, stake, investment, security, or currency.

10.3 Finality of Purchases

Except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in these Terms, purchases of votes are final once the votes have been credited to the User’s account or cast for a Photo.

10.4 No Refunds for Miscast Votes

Pawvote is not responsible if you cast votes for the wrong Photo. No refunds, discounts, credits, or allowances will be granted for votes that were miscast, except where required by applicable law or where Pawvote determines that a technical error caused by Pawvote requires correction.

10.5 Payment Authorization and Review

Pawvote may delay, reject, reverse, or cancel vote credits or votes if a payment is declined, reversed, cancelled, refunded, suspected of fraud, subject to chargeback, unauthorized, or otherwise not successfully completed.

10.6 Chargeback and Refund Abuse

Users must not abuse the payment, refund, or chargeback process. Pawvote may suspend accounts, cancel votes, withhold prizes, disqualify entries, or take other reasonable measures where Pawvote reasonably determines that a User has engaged in fraud, unauthorized payment activity, chargeback abuse, identity misuse, bot activity, fake accounts, vote farming, or other manipulation, subject to applicable law.

10.7 Taxes and Currency

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, currency conversion fees, bank fees, payment provider fees, or other charges that may apply to purchases or prizes, except where Pawvote is required by law to withhold or remit such amounts.

  1. 11. Winner Determination and Tie-Breakers

11.1 Winner Determination

The eligible Photo that receives the highest number of Valid Votes before the Contest Deadline will be ranked first, subject to eligibility verification, fraud review, payment review, and these Terms. Additional prize rankings will be determined in descending order based on Valid Votes, unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules.

11.2 Review Period

Pawvote may conduct a fraud, payment, eligibility, residency, ownership, animal-welfare, and verification review after the Contest Deadline before publishing final results or awarding prizes. Unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules, final results may take up to 72 hours after the Contest Deadline to verify and publish.

In the event of suspected fraud, payment abuse, chargebacks, stolen payment credentials, fake accounts, bot activity, vote farming, identity misuse, residency misrepresentation, location circumvention, eligibility disputes, pet ownership disputes, rights-holder objections, animal-welfare concerns, or other manipulation, Pawvote may extend the review, verification, and prize payment period for up to 90 days or for any longer period reasonably required by law, payment providers, law enforcement, regulators, courts, animal welfare authorities, or other competent authorities.

11.3 Tie-Breaker

In the event of a tie, the tied Photo that first reached the tied number of Valid Votes, based on Pawvote’s server records, will be ranked higher.

If Pawvote cannot reasonably determine which Photo first reached the tied number of Valid Votes due to a technical issue, the tied Photo with the higher number of unique verified voting Users will be ranked higher.

If a tie still remains, Pawvote may split the applicable prize among the tied eligible winners or apply another objective, non-random tie-breaker disclosed on the Site. No winner will be selected by random draw.

11.4 Final Decisions

Pawvote’s decisions regarding eligibility, vote validity, fraud review, ranking, tie-breakers, prize entitlement, and contest administration are final and binding, subject to mandatory applicable law.

  1. 12. Prizes

12.1 Prize Schedule

Prizes for each contest will be described in the applicable Official Rules or on the Site. Prize amounts, prize types, prize rankings, and non-cash vote awards may vary by contest, category, region, season, promotion, or other contest-specific factors.

12.2 Guaranteed Operator-Funded Prizes

Prizes are guaranteed by Pawvote as displayed for the applicable contest and are not funded by wagers, bets, stakes, pooled entry fees, or payments made by losing Participants or Users. Users and Pet Owners do not pay prizes to winners.

12.3 Prize Eligibility

Only eligible Pet Owners of eligible Participants may receive cash prizes. Voters who are not Pet Owners of winning Participants are not eligible to receive cash prizes unless expressly stated in the Official Rules.

12.4 Vote Prizes

Vote prizes, Bonus Votes, promotional votes, credits, or other non-cash vote awards granted for future contests have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, are not transferable, and may only be used on the Site in accordance with these Terms and the Official Rules.

12.5 Prize Verification

Before awarding a prize, Pawvote may require proof of identity, age, pet ownership or lawful authority, Participant identity, residency, regional eligibility, payment account ownership, tax information, and any other information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and comply with law.

12.5A State, Country, and Regional Verification

For regional, state, country, province, or territory rankings, the Participant and Pet Owner must meet the residency and regional eligibility requirements stated on the Site or in the applicable Official Rules. Pawvote may require proof of eligible residency, address, location, or regional connection before awarding any regional prize.

If Pawvote determines that the Participant or Pet Owner does not meet the residency or regional eligibility requirements for a regional prize, the regional ranking and prize may be cancelled, and the prize may be awarded to the next eligible ranked Participant from the relevant region, subject to applicable law.

12.6 Failure to Verify

If a potential winner fails to complete verification, provides false or incomplete information, is located in an excluded jurisdiction, violates these Terms, or is otherwise ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible ranked Participant, subject to applicable law.

12.6A Prize Claim Deadline

Potential winners must provide all requested verification documents, payment information, tax information, residency information, pet ownership or authorization verification, and prize claim information within 15 days after Pawvote’s request, unless Pawvote grants an extension in writing.

If a potential winner fails to provide the required information within this period, provides false or incomplete information, fails eligibility verification, or cannot lawfully receive the prize, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible ranked Participant, subject to applicable law.

12.6B Returned, Rejected, or Undeliverable Prizes

If a prize payment or prize delivery is returned, rejected, undeliverable, blocked, declined, or not collected due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the winner, the winner must contact Pawvote and provide corrected information within 30 calendar days. After that period, the prize may be forfeited, subject to applicable law.

12.7 Payment Method

Cash prizes may be paid through PayPal or another payment method selected by Pawvote. Winners must have access to an approved payment method and provide accurate payment information. Pawvote is not responsible for delays, fees, restrictions, or failures caused by payment providers, banks, inaccurate information, or legal restrictions.

12.8 Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, filings, and reporting obligations relating to prizes, except where Pawvote is required by law to withhold, report, or remit taxes.

  1. 13. Publicity and Photo License

13.1 License for Contest Purposes

By submitting a Photo, you grant Pawvote a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, reproduce, resize, crop, format, publish, transmit, and use the Photo and related Participant display information on the Site and in communications directly related to the relevant contest, including profile pages, category pages, ranking pages, vote pages, winner announcements, and contest-related promotional materials.

13.2 Winner Announcements

If a Photo wins or ranks in a contest, you grant Pawvote the right to publish, display, and use the Photo, Participant name or display name, pet type, breed, region, ranking, and prize information for winner announcements and contest-related promotion without additional compensation, subject to applicable law.

13.3 Broader Marketing

Pawvote will not use a pet’s Photo for unrelated brand campaigns, paid advertisements, third-party promotions, or broader corporate marketing without additional consent, except where the Photo is used in a winner announcement or contest-related promotion as described above.

13.4 Revocation and Removal Requests

You may request removal of a Photo as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy, subject to reasonable technical, legal, archival, fraud-prevention, accounting, tax, dispute, and recordkeeping limitations.

  1. 14. Privacy and Personal Information

14.1 Privacy Policy

Pawvote’s collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

14.3 Verification Materials

Verification documents may contain sensitive information. Such documents should be submitted only through approved verification channels and only when requested by Pawvote. Pawvote may reject, delete, retain, or process verification documents in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14.4 Public Display

You understand that submitted Photos and limited Participant display information may be publicly visible on the Site for contest purposes. You must not submit a Photo or information if you do not want it displayed publicly in accordance with these Terms.

15.3 Moderation

15.4 License to Comments

By posting a comment, you grant Pawvote a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, publish, and use the comment on the Site and in connection with contest administration and moderation.
